1. Apple sauce
Apple sauce can replace the butter but also the sugar in a recipe. You will taste it less in a chocolate cake than in a plain cake. It will provide as much softness as butter, but without the calories.
2. Coconut oil
Coconut oil is perfect as a substitute for butter. Its neutral taste makes it suitable for use in both salty and sweet preparations.
3. Bananas
Suitable for pancakes or cakes, smashed banana will allow you to have a soft texture even without any fat. The more ripe the banana is, the stronger its taste will be.
4. Courgettes
Cooked and crushed courgettes are a great alternative to butter in salty and sweet dishes. Their taste is very neutral and if you remove the skin, you won't even notice the difference with your usual recipes.
5. Avocado
Avocado is known for its fatty texture and is ideal for baking. It also contains unsaturated fatty acids, which are excellent from a nutritional point of view.
