Vladimir Putin mocked for his manhood
The leaders of the seven most powerful countries in the world met for a few days to try, in particular, to discuss solutions for the conflict happening in Ukraine. According to BBC, despite the very tense international context, some were in a rather joking mood, like the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, who started the meeting with a small spade at Vladimir Putin:
Do we keep the jacket? take off? Can we take off our clothes? We have to show that we are tougher than Putin.
To which Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau replied, ‘We're going to have the shirtless riding demonstration’, referring to a photo of the Russian leader who showed himself shirtless on his horse in 2009, as a show of force.
Even Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, added her two cents: ‘Oh yes! Horse riding is the best’ and the laughter burst around the table.
'It would have been a disgusting sight'
Did Vladimir Putin appreciate this little mockery against him? While travelling to Ashkhabad, the Turkmen capital this Wednesday, June 29, the Russian leader was invited by journalists to react to this sequence.
And, as you might expect, his response was scathing. As per The Guardian, he said:
I don't know if they wanted to strip to the waist or even lower, but either way, it would have been a disgusting sight.
