An American, aged 45, has given himself the task of arranging to meet women in luxury restaurants and clearing off once his stomach is full. His trick was the same each time: he pretended to receive a call from his young son. The majority of 'invited'women believed him. As mothers of families, they even worried about this dubious phone call.

Around fifteen charges are against him
In total, 12 scammed women have protested and 10 of them have made complaints against Paul Guadalupe Gonzalez. He was arrested last March and was in custody pending his trial. He pleaded guilty and risks going to prison. Around fifteen charges have been brought against him, such as theft, blackmail, and fraud.
The victims claim to have been subject not only to financial damage (sums of up to 3 figures to pay), but also psychological. They didn’t expect to be confronted by a dishonest man with whom they most likely imagined a relationship, and furthermore they found themselves face to face with the management of restaurants taken unawares. Two of the women were forgiven by the establishments when they explained their stories. In the end, it’s the food lover himself who risks having to pay a hefty bill.
