Aldi
Aldi has announced that Gianni’s Milk Chocolate Lollies in some of its Midlands stores have the incorrect packaging, which means that some could contain almonds - presenting a serious threat to anyone with nut allergies. The affected batch is Gianni's Milk Chocolate 4 pack, with a best-before date of September 2024 and product code 815702, as per the Shropshire Star.
Commenting on the recall, a spokesperson for Aldi said
As a precautionary measure, our supplier is recalling an isolated batch of Gianni’s Milk Chocolate Lollies as the packs may contain Gianni’s Almond Lollies.
We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your cooperation.

Meanwhile, Lidl has issued a warning about its Simply Grated Cheddar, which could contain small pieces of plastic making it unsafe to eat. The batch, in this case, is the 500g size with a best-before date of 23/12/2022.
A spokesperson for the supermarket said, as per the Hull Daily Mail:
If you have bought the above mentioned product we advise you not to eat it. Instead, return it to a Lidl GB store for a full refund, with or without a receipt. Other Simply products and best before dates are not affected by this recall.
Lidl GB wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
