The Ambiano Jam Maker will be available online only from Sunday 29th November–and we reckon they’ll sell out fast. It could be the perfect complement to the Ambiano Bread Maker (£49.99) that the supermarket started selling a couple of weeks ago–our mouths are watering just thinking of homemade bread and jam!
What kind of jam can you make with Aldi’s Jam Maker?
Whilst raspberry, strawberry and blackberry are trusty favourites, you can be as creative as you like when making jam in your own jam maker. Don’t be afraid to try something more exotic like mango or pineapple jam. You can also use the Ambiano Jam Maker for making savoury chutneys. Plus, it’s dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning between batches.
Jars of homemade jam could make a lovely Christmas gift for friends, family and even neighbours this year. We love the idea of using cranberries, oranges or festive spices for a Christmassy touch–or you could go for warming rhubarb and ginger. You could even add a personalised label to each jar for a really special and thoughtful gift.
What do you need to make jam?
Aside from the fruit and your jam maker, most jam recipes call for pectin, which is a gelling agent that will thicken your jam. You should be able to find it in the baking aisle of most supermarkets but in a pinch you can make it without by cooking for longer–a lot less effort if you have the Jam Maker! You’ll also need sterilised jars to store your jam in once it’s made.
