How much fortune did Anne Heche have?
As per an article by ET, Heche only had a modest sum of $400,000 at the time of her death. The I Know What You Did Last Summer actor lived in an apartment and did not own any property. Her assets mainly consisted of a couple of bank accounts, royalty payments and other income. There is also her stake in a podcast and the potential profit from the book she was writing.
Who will inherit Anne Heche’s fortune?
Her elder son Homer Leche Laffoon can oversee her estate for now, as per the judge of the estate hearing. Laffoon had previously filed a petition to be his half-brother’s legal guardian.
As per Page Six, her ex James Tupper’s petition to be named Atlas’ guardian ad litem was denied by a California judge. According to People, Tupper has declared that he feels that Laffoon wouldn’t look out for Atlas. And things allegedly got heated between Tupper and the judge during the hearing.
Laffoon, on the other hand, filed an opposition last week that there is a ‘conflict of interest’ from Tupper’s side for becoming Atlas’s guardian.
The judge also declared that the estate was to be split between both her sons 50-50. And it was not open to dispute. Currently, it’s a legal back-and-forth between Tupper and Laffoon. The next court hearing is scheduled for the 30th of November, 2022.
