Donald Trump, as a former President and current candidate, is often in the spotlight. However, his family members have also made a lot of ink spill, following various dramas and scandals. Although Melania Trump has worked hard to keep her only son with the former POTUS out of the press, stories about him still occasionally pop up.

While Trump has been dealing with his numerous legal challenges, we have seen more of Melania and Barron. The pair joined Trump over the Easter weekend for a family meal, and it was clear just how much the once-awkward Barron has grown up. He celebrated his 18th birthday earlier this month, and stands tall at a whopping 6 feet 7 inches tall. Let’s take a look at the expensive lifestyle he has led so far.

Barron had his own floor

As soon as Barron was born, his life was far from that of the average American baby. His businessman father and supermodel mother had a group of very wealthy friends and acquaintances, meaning that he got some pretty incredible gifts when he came into the world. One of these, somewhat surprisingly, came from Ellen DeGeneres. The presenter gave baby Barron a gold pram.

Barron also had a very comfortable living situation. He had a whole floor to himself at his parents’ fifth-avenue penthouse in New York. The suite included a nursery, living room kitchen, and areas for Melania and nannies.

Caviar-infused moisturiser and top schools

In 2013, Melania launched her own caviar-infused moisturiser. She reportedly used it on then-7-year-old Barron. She said:

I put it on him from head to toe. He likes it!

As well as a top-notch skincare routine, Barron attended some of the most expensive schools in the US. Before he joined his father in the White House, Barron went to Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. He took his whole class of 80 to visit the iconic building when he was in fifth grade. Later, he attended St Andrew's in Potomac Maryland. Tuition there costs £39,000 a year. When the family moved to their Mar-a-Lago estate, Barron transferred to Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach. There, fees cost a cool £29,000.

Alongside all this luxury, Barron grew up with the stabilising Slovenian side of his family nearby. Melania’s mother Amalija Knavs used to cook homemade meals for him and his mother always tried to keep him grounded. In 2015, Melania told People:

I like to be hands-on. I think it's very important. Barron is nine years old. He needs somebody as a parent there, so I am with him all the time. As you know, my husband is travelling all the time.

She also noted that ‘if you have too much help, you don't get to know your children’, so she and Trump kept their child-minding staff to a minimum.
