Variety magazine has revealed that Brad Pitt went to an auction organised by Sean Penn in Hollywood on Saturday, January 6th. One of the prizes offered the opportunity to watch an episode of Game of Thrones in the company of Emilia Clarke, who has played the role of Daenerys for seven seasons. The price was set at 20,000 USD (just over £14,000).
Brad Pitt was outbid and the amount quickly climbed to 80,000 USD (£56,645). Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in the HBO series made an appearance to announce that he would also be present during the viewing of the episode. This clearly delighted Brad Pitt, who raised his offer to 120,000 USD (£85,000) to win the prize.
Unfortunately, the actor was eventually outbid and the prize went to an anonymous bidder for the tidy sum of 160,000 USD (£115,000). It looks like the TV session between Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington, and Brad Pitt will have to wait.
