British teen raped by two men while walking her dog

A 17-year-old girl walking her dog in Manchester Park was shoved to the ground and raped by two men who are currently on the run.

A teenage girl was pushed to the ground and raped by two men while out walking her dog.

The 17-year-old was approached by the men at Boggart Hole Clough in Blackley on Sunday night, where one of the men snatched the dog from her while the second pushed her to the ground and raped her.

The Greater Manchester Police said the girl struggled to take her dog back from the men and managed to escape the scene. She then informed two women, who alerted the police at around 9:30pm.

The suspects

Police have been on the lookout for the suspects since the incident on Sunday. It is believed the men are both between 20 and 30.

One has been described as a 5ft 8in tall black male with braided hair who spoke with an African accent. Police said he was wearing a dark-coloured puffer jacket with blue sleeves, dark jeans and dark trainers with bubbles in the sole

His counterpart is a bald white man with a short beard who spoke with a Manchester accent. He was wearing a white long-sleeved T-shirt with a V-neck, dark-coloured jeans, and white trainers.

Appeal for help

As investigations continue, there is a more visible police presence in the community, with the public being urged to come forward with any information that might lead to the arrest of the suspects.

Detective Inspector Louise Edwards of GMP's City of Manchester division, said:

We have launched a full investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened, and ensure the people responsible for this horrendous act are identified. We are carefully examining the scene, and will increase our police presence in the area, so if anyone has any concerns, they can approach our officers directly... Any information, no matter how small, could be vital to our investigation
