The Food Standards Agency or FSA is in charge of managing food safety and hygiene issues nationally. They ensure that food companies have to adhere to strict rules and guidelines when it comes to packaging, labelling and serving food. They also form the first line of contact if you want to complain about food companies or businesses flouting rules.

The FSA also recalls and orders food withdrawals when it finds discrepancy in labelling and misinformation on the food packaging. This week, FSA has ordered Coca Cola to recall Coke Zero multipacks due to incorrect packaging.
Wrongly packaged Coke Zero
The reason for the recall of Coke Zero multipacks is that they were found to be incorrectly labelled. These cans could contain Coca-Cola Original taste, which has sugar, unlike the zero-sugar version.
The information of the recalled product is as follows:
Coca-Cola Zero Sugar multipacks with Christmas cardboard
Pack size Multipack of 24 x 330 ml cans
Batch code 301WA1, 302WA1, 303WA1, 304WA1, 305WA5, 306WA5, 307WA5 and 308WA5

Risks of excess sugar intake

Potential risk to consumers who need to manage their sugar intake.
