Donald Trump’s nephew to release a memoir disclosing Trump family’s dirty secrets

Fred C. Trump III’s publisher Simon & Schuster confirmed that the memoir will come out on July 30. According to the New York Times, the publishers described the memoir as a ‘candid and revealing account’ of what it was like for Fred III to grow up in the Trump family. The book will discuss his ties and separations from the Trump family. It will contain ‘never-before-told stories’ that will shed ‘a light into the darker corner of the Trump empire.’

Simon and Schuster added that Fred III was motivated to release the memoir before the 2024 elections so that the book could ‘shape the decision of a nation.’ In a press release of the book, Fred said:

Silence is golden only where there is nothing that needs to be said.

People Magazine added that the memoir is likely to discuss his relationship with his late grandfather and his uncle Donald Trump. He may give insights into his life at the White House and delve into the win-at-all-costs family dynamic that created a rift as he tried to protect his own family. Before Fred III, Trump’s niece and Fred’s sister Mary released a blockbuster memoir in 2020 - Too Much and Never Enough. It shed light on Donald Trump’s family history and deepened rifts in the family.

Who is Fred C. Trump III?

Fred C. Trump III, often referred to as Fred III, is Donald Trump’s eldest brother's son. Donald Trump's eldest brother is Frederick Christ 'Freddy' Trump Jr., and he was named after their father Frederick Christ Trump Sr.

Frederick Christ 'Freddy' Trump Jr. had two children, Fred III and Mary. It has been reported that Fred Jr. had a contentious relationship with his own father Fred Sr. and that affected his children as well. People Magazine reports that Fred Sr. wanted Fred Jr. to take over his father’s real estate business, however, he had ambitions of being a pilot. Fred Sr. eventually developed alcoholism and died in September 1981 of a heart attack.

Since Fred Sr. and Jr. had an estranged relationship, Fred Sr. removed Fred Jr. and his descendants from his will, resulting in a lawsuit from Fred III and Mary.

After the death of his grandfather Fred III filed a lawsuit contesting his will and argued that they had been cheated out of their inheritance. As the legal fight heated up, Donald Trump and his siblings cut off financial help that was going toward medical needs of Fred III’s son William and his developmental disabilities.

Fred III has kept himself and his family out of the spotlight over the years. Even in 2020, when his sister published a memoir, he released a statement revealing he had nothing to do with the book despite being a vocal Trump critic. As such, his sudden release of a memoir months before the election has caught many off-guard.
