Indeed, he endorsed the former President following his assassination attempt back in July. Three months after this attempt, Donald Trump returned to the same place and stage to finish his initial rally and Elon Musk was a guest. He encouraged others to vote for Trump but also gave an eerie prediction.
Elon Musk’s eerie prediction at Donald Trump’s rally
As reported by Wired, on Saturday, October 5, Donald Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, three months after he was shot in the ear due to an assassination attempt. The former President was accompanied by his running mate and vice presidential candidate JD Vance, who recently went viral for his eyes, as well as Elon Musk.
After finishing his initial speech from three months ago, Trump invited Musk onto the stage, the latter sported a black blazer over a shirt saying ‘Occupy Mars’ and a black MAGA hat. Taking to the stage, he started his speech explaining that he isn’t ‘just MAGA’ but ‘dark MAGA.
Musk then urged attendees to register to vote as this election is ‘the most important election of our lifetime’ and it is ‘no ordinary election’. The X owner ends his speech by saying that if Trump supporters don’t vote for him, it ‘will be the last election’.
Get everyone you know, and everyone you don't know, drag them to register to vote. If they don’t, this will be the last election. That’s my prediction.
This isn’t the first time that Musk has made a similar prediction. Indeed, on September 29, 2024, Musk tweeted that if Donald Trump loses, ‘this will be the last election’.

During his speech, Elon Musk also announced he was ‘dark MAGA'. He said:
As you can see, I’m not just MAGA. I’m dark MAGA.
What is dark MAGA?
As Newsweek explains, the term ‘dark MAGA’ first appeared on X on January 21, 2022, and by March 2022, it became increasingly popular.
It was used by small fringe of Trump supporters and was more of a meme than an actual political slogan. The dark MAGA is ‘a post-alt-right aesthetic that promotes an authoritarian version of Trump in dystopian, Terminator-like images’.
It is also important to note that dark MAGA is also a memecoin, which according to Wired is a form of cryptocurrency that is 'inspired by online trends'. The image of the memecoin and also the memes are easy to recognise as they are edited in red and black or red and blue and often feature people, or Trump himself, with blue laser eyes often holding weapons or standing in front of neo-Nazi symbols.
Those who ‘align’ with dark MAGA are said to want a ruthless, unforgiving version of Trump, and want the former President to take ‘revenge’ on political enemies during the 2024 elections. Despite its growing popularity, ‘dark MAGA’, Donald Trump has not endorsed or acknowledged the message behind the movement/meme.
