'We inevitably imagine the worst, but we can't help hoping...' admitted Emile's father. 'We're not afraid to ask God for a miracle', added his partner.

In this interview, the couple talked about their experience of the two-month investigation. They also thanked all French people for their involvement in the search for their son. The couple, who are very religious, said they are also grateful for their many prayers. Colomban expressed their gratitude:
We'd like to say a huge thank you to them. And it's not just the French! Very quickly, we received support from Armenia, Mexico, Gabon, Lebanon... Right from the start, the mobilization was truly extraordinary.

No progress has been reported
As for how the investigation is going, Emile's parents prefer to remain private, so as not to hinder it.
We continue to trust the work of the police in charge of the investigation. From the outset, they have shown great professionalism and empathy. Of course, that's their job... But their investment has been exceptional.
They are continuing the investigation under the direction and authority of the two examining magistrates, who are also very committed to finding Émile.
'The first night after the disappearance, some of the police officers hardly slept at all', added the little boy's mother.
The search for Émile continued until 2AM, and resumed the next day at daybreak. Some of the police officers and volunteers walked more than 30 kilometers over these steep hills to find our son.
This is an interview that testifies to the immeasurable strength of this family who are dealing with a terrible situation.
