The yellow warning states that in addition to flooding, that ‘some interruption to power supplies and other services is possible’. Rainfall would be in the region of 100mm with many showers and some snow over the Scottish mountains.

The Met Office has predicted that the same heavy showers and strong winds will continue on Wednesday followed by further rain and strong winds spreading northeast on Thursday.
