The Covid-19 pandemic had a massive impact all over the world, and people are still getting the virus - though having it in 2023 is a very different experience. As dual outbreaks of pneumonia hit in China and the Netherlands, many are reflecting on how coronavirus became such a massive problem. Now, a former White House official has revealed some shocking details about what really happened in Wuhan, China.

Dr Robert Kadlec, former Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response at the US Department of Health, spoke to Sky News. The news channel reported that ‘he feels obligated to reveal confidential discussions he had with Dr Fauci, America’s top infectious diseases adviser’ which uncover the truth about how America dealt with the Covid outbreak. Dr Kadlec also talks about the scientist who is said to have discovered Covid - and died just months later from ‘falling’ off a roof.
Was the scientist who discovered Covid assassinated?
Dr Kadlec spoke about the risky vaccine research carried out by Chinese military scientist, Zhou Yusen. Yusen, it turns out, was creating a vaccine for Covid-19 all the way back in October 2019. Indeed, as the New York Post reported:
Zhou Yusen was conducting research on live animals at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in 2019, and filed a patent for a COVID vaccine in February 2020 — barely one month after China put Wuhan into a lockdown due to the first outbreak.
Three months later, he was dead. Reports stated he fell from the roof of the Wuhan Institute. However, Dr Kadlec said ‘it's certainly possible’ that he was killed:
It looked like he was censored as a consequence of whatever happened.
How Covid really happened
Dr Kadlec also revealed that the US downplayed the likelihood of the virus having come from a lab leak, and pushed the story that the virus had jumped from an animal to a human. He explained that this was to encourage China to co-operate in the early days of the outbreak.
Indeed, Dr. Anthony Fauci, former head of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, repeatedly denied the lab break theory. He may have had another reason for diverting attention away from the Wuhan Institute of Virology as he had allocated money to fund their experiments.
Dr Kadlec admitted:
I wake up at usually about 2 or 3am and think about it honestly, because it’s something that we all played a role in.
He says their plan to cover up the truth didn’t even really work:
In fact, the thing you regret is that the downstream effects were things that we could not control.
Dr Kadlec has spent over 18 months looking back over the million and one decisions that led to the Covid-19 outbreak happening as it did. He believes he has ‘come close’ to uncovering the truth, and is driven by a fear that we have not yet learnt from our mistakes.
