Willem Van Cotthem, a Professor in Botanical Science at Ghent University in Belgium was behind quite an original and clever little project. At his house, he created a sort of vertical vegetable garden made from a tower of plastic bottles. This simple project is useful for those who don’t have a lot of green space available but have a small amount of space available such as a balcony. This garden, which is also environmentally friendly, can be built against a wall or against some kind of rigid frame. It works in both rural and urban areas and doesn’t cost a lot to put together!
