With the first named hurricane of the Atlantic season having officially been identified over the last few days, how dangerous (if at all) has it been predicted to be?

Category 2 hurricane
According to the National Hurricane Center, Danielle has sustained winds of 75 mph and even higher gusts but despite what seems to be a powerful hurricane, it is not expected to cause much damage.
This is mainly due to the fact that Danielle is far offshore and will lose too much steam to be considered dangerous by the time it reaches shore which has been predicted to be in five days time from now.
The hurricane center also went on to say that the storm has been predicted to "meander over the open Atlantic during the next couple of days", only to head northeast early next week. It has been described as a Category 2 hurricane and is expected to remain almost completely static during the weekend.
A quiet Atlantic tropical cyclone period
This is the first named hurricane since 3 July, 2022 meaning that, for the first time in 25 years, there has not been an identified named hurricane for the entire month of August in the Atlantic. Historically, the average date for the seasons's first named storm to be identified is August 11.
