IKEA has recently issued an official statement on its website, in which it announced the recall of their Blavingad fishing toy after the brand received reports that small children could choke on some parts of the toy. If you have bought this toy for your kids (or yourself), you should return the toy to your nearest IKEA store, after which you will get a full refund.

The Blavingad fishing toy
IKEA has officially issued a recall of its Blavingad fishing toy, which is made up of several detachable parts for toddlers or young children to play with. The main element of the toy is a wooden fishing rod enriched with magnets to imitate fishing. The game also contains magnetized wooden fish-shaped pieces, which connect with the magnet inside the fishing rod.
In its statement, IKEA explains the brand has received several reports of small metal rivets coming off the wooden fish-shaped pieces, something which presents a potential choking hazard. So far, no injuries have been reported following the use of the fishing toy, but the brand is recalling the products nonetheless, as a safety measure.

How to get a refund
Shoppers are invited to return the Blavingad fishing toy to their nearest IKEA store, after which they can get a full refund. The official statement reads as follows:
Ikea asks all customers who own the Blavingad fishing game, multicolour, to stop using it and return it to an Ikea store for a full refund. Proof of purchase is not required.
The Swedish brand has apologized for the ordeal and said it is doing everything it can to get the product back on the market safely as soon as possible.
