ITV's decision to betray us by cancelling the reunion may have left us with a bitter taste of unfinished business... (It is what it is...) but despite this, Love Island Winter has never been closer.
The countdown has officially begun, as ITV dropped the first promo for the first-ever winter version of Love Island this December 2 during an episode of I'm A Celebrity and fans are already going crazy on social media. The show will return in January,
The teaser is only ten seconds long, showing a small plane flying over to a mystery island (duh!) with a banner that reads: "Do One, Winter", and winter is here!
Love Island Caroline Flack greeted us with a few mysterious snaps these few weeks, revealing the destination, a brand new villa, in South Africa. An insider confirmed MailOnline that the staff working on the was indeed heading to Cape Town on New Year's Eve and have a week to prepare before the launch on January 8.
Rumours have been spread, few names dropped, model Ellis Iyayi was one of the potential islanders to enter the villa this winter. Jay Munro, a model went viral for opening doors on The Voice and was also rumoured to be heading to Love Island Villa.
A TV source told MailOnline:
'The new cast of singletons fly out just days before the launch but bosses work with test Islanders to uncover the best spots in the villa to create drama.'
