Ivanka and Donald Trump have worked together in the past. Whether it’s on business ventures or political campaigns, the two have always been close. Sometimes even a bit too close… Donald Trump did say he fantacized about his daughter.

However, their close relationship seems to have faded when the Trumps left the White House. Since then, Ivanka has been keeping a low profile. In June 2023, rumours about her dropping the Trump name even circulated. While these were debunked, many have noticed a type of rebranding from Ivanka Trump.
All these efforts might have been in vain as her father’s legal issues might actually catch up with her.
Will Ivanka Trump testify?
On 20 October 2023, Forbes published an article called Ivanka Trump Tries Getting Out Of Testifying In NY Fraud Trial. In their piece, they explain that the former President’s daughter has been doing everything possible in order to not testify during her fathers civil fraud case.
In June, Ivanka Trump thought she could keep a safe distance after being dismissed as a defendant but now prosecutors might have found a way to bring her back. Newsweek reports that former federal prosecutor and legal analyst Joyce Vance believes that Ivanka could be forced to testify, not as a defendant but as a ‘fact witness’.
Vance, who expressed her views on Substack, explained:
There has been testimony at trial about the valuation of Ivanka Trump's penthouse in her father's Trump Park Avenue property. No longer a defendant, she is nonetheless a fact witness in this regard, and it seems likely she'll be ordered to testify
It is true that Ivanka Trump has always been a trusted business adviser and partner to her father and while the court doesn’t have jurisdiction to bring her to court (she’s no longer a New York resident) she surely knows a lot about her family’s business which could be useful for prosecutors.
The fact that she is fighting the prosecutors' subpoenas could be seen as a sign that doesn’t want to say anything that could damage her father or family. In the words of Joyce Vance:
Ivanka Trump may well have to choose between Daddy and perjury
Ivanka without Donald
It is a fact that since the end of Donald Trump’s presidency, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner have done everything in their power to create a new image of themselves. It is not surprising that Donald and Ivanka have been spending less public time together and even less surprising that Ivanka has been a no show at her father’s trials.
Since she left the White House, Ivanka Trump has stayed clear of politics and had stated that she would no longer be involved in politics. Moreover, Ivanka has spoken against the claim that the 2020 election was stolen by the Democrats. An obvious separation from her father.
Moreover, after leaving the White House, Ivanka moved to Miami where she is reported to be focusing on her family. That doesn’t prevent her from enjoying her wealth in style.
Just during the weekend of 21 and 22 October 2023, Ivanka was seen in Beverly Hills at Kim Kardashian’s birthday party.
