Meet Lucia Hunt
Lucia Hunt was born in the city of Xi’an in China in 1978, and moved to the UK before meeting with her husband Jeremy Hunt.
Lucia appeared as a host on Sky TV’s China Hour, where she had her own show called Signature Flowers Of China.
According to The Sun, Jeremy met Lucia in a Hotcourses event in Warwick in 2008, and one year later they started a relationship. The couple, who have a 11-year age gap, had a traditional wedding in Lucia’s home city in Xi’an in China. They now have three children together.
Jeremy Hunt's bizarre nickname
During their stay in China, they met Lucia’s grandmother who was not able to pronounce Jeremy’s name, so she referred to him as ‘Big Mi’ which means ‘Big Rice’. Ever since, Lucia has been calling Jeremy ‘Big Rice’ at home.
Lucia is Hunt's 'secret weapon'
For much of his career Jeremy Hunt has been accompanied by his ‘secret weapon’ wife Lucia Guo Hunt.
According to the Mirror, some few years ago, during a couple’s portrait interview, Lucia was asked what she thinks about the idea of Jeremy becoming the Prime Minister. She described Jeremy as a strong individual who never turns his back to challenges.
He is kind, he is always generous, he cares about his family and he is very strong. He never hides from challenges.
