It was then decided that the house at Number One Observatory Circle in Washington D.C. would be refurbished and used as the official home of the vice president. Over the years, each vice president has added their own touch to the home.
As this home is not owned by Harris, it is natural for her to own at least one property for when she is no longer vice president. However, instead of one home, Harris has three, which isn't surprising considering her net worth.

As reported by Town & Country, Kamala Harris bought a home in Washington D.C. in 2017. It was the year she was elected to the Senate, and she reportedly paid $1.775 million for a two-bedroom, 1,700-square-foot apartment.
The apartment is located in Washington’s West End, between Georgetown and Dupont Circle. The White House is just a few miles from the complex. As per Town & Country, the complex has a rooftop pool, a fitness centre, housekeeping and a 24-hour concierge.
Harris also owns two properties in California, where she grew up and attended university.

In 2012, Kamala Harris’s husband, Douglas Emhoff, with whom she has been married for 10 years, bought a 3,500-square-foot house in the posh Brentwood neighbourhood of Los Angeles for $2.7 million. As per Hello!, the neighbourhood boasts celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow and LeBron James.
Two years after he bought the home, Harris and Emhoff married and the house was transferred to a joint trust bearing both of their initials. The home has four bedrooms, five bathrooms and a pool. It is situated 10 minutes from the Getty Centre. According to Zillow, the home is estimated to be worth $5 million.
Finally, Kamala Harris has a condo in San Francisco, which she purchased after becoming San Francisco's first Black attorney general.

As per Town & Country, Kamala Harris bought a condo in San Francisco in 2004 when she became the town’s attorney general. She bought the home for $489,000 and according to Zillow, the property has doubled in value.
The condo is 1,000-square-foot and is situated in San Francisco’s SoMa (South of Market) neighbourhood.
