A girl shoots her cousin and then kills herself
The Harvey family got together to celebrate several birthdays. At around 2 a.m. last Friday, the family heard a detonation then a second one.
Shinise Harvey, Paris's mother, tells the media:
Everyone was together to celebrate, and so the youngest children had a room to meet up in.
At the time, in the bathroom, the two cousins were filming each other rapping live on Instagram. The girl was playing with a gun when she aims and shoots her cousin Kuaron. Moments later, Paris Harvey also dies after turning the gun on her. The police and the family do not have the same version of the tragedy. One party believes it was a murder-suicide, and the other believes it was an accident.

The cousins' grandmother told the newspaper:
It wasn't a situation where they were arguing or anything like that. They were playing with the gun, when they shouldn't have. Of course, they shouldn't have. I think that it just went off on its own. It went off by mistake.
The family also said that Paris and Kuaron Harvey were like 'brother and sister' and had fun filming each other rapping or pulling pranks. As of now, the police of Saint-Louis haven't communicated the conclusions of the investigation.
In the United States, gun deaths are increasingly affecting minors. In 2020, more than 5,100 children under the age of 18 were shot and injured in shootings. Among them, 1,300 died. And the worst seems to come.
According to the Pilatnews:
Gun deaths were up 13%, and more children and teenagers were shot than during the same in 2020.
