A TikTok clip by a creator named Jottie (@jottiesjournal) has taken the Internet by storm. She usually shares cleaning tips and homemaking clips on her TikTok account but as reported by The Sun, her latest TikTok is in the news after she showed how McDonald’s circular tables have a super hidden hack through which they could be raised to create standing tables.
Did you know McDonald’s tables could do this?
In the clip, Jottie wrote,
I was today years old when I realised McDonald’s tables do this. Mind blown.
Shockingly, the circular McDonald’s tabletop seems to be made up of two different layers. Jottie was able to swivel the raised top layer which could then be pulled up and adjusted to standing height, transforming the same table into one with dual height options: one short and the other taller.
Varied reactions to the unusual function of McDonald’s tables
At present, Jottie’s TikTok clip has been viewed more than 2.3 million times. Most of the reactions have been of surprise and shock with one person writing,
They have been in my store for years and I never realised
According to other people, they don’t do that everywhere. One person said,
Yeah not everywhere. Those are obviously new.
Another person commented,
We have these on France too and it's super useful when you're disabled because you can move the table to transfer easily on the seat or adjust the height for people in Electric wheelchair that are sometimes higher than table height.
It remains to be seen how other people are going to start using the secret function of McDonald's tables.
