Already last weekend parts of the UK were under a yellow warning for an 11-hour thunderstorm and this weekend could also bring heavy rain, despite the sunny start.
Big weather differences in the UK
As the UK is a group of countries, it is expected that not every part of the UK experiences the same weather. Indeed as autumn is now underway, some parts of Scotland could soon experience frost as temperatures could reach the single digits, as reported by The Independent.
On the other hand, England is set to have a nice and sunny Saturday (Sep 23). For Northern Ireland, you can expect strong winds but the sky should remain clear.

The sunny spell is short-lived
As per The Independent, the sunny spell will not last for the entirety of the weekend. According to the Met Office, Sunday will see persistent heavy rain which could lead to some roads being flooded.
The yellow warning has been issued for Scotland throughout the whole of Sunday. It is predicted that south England will avoid most of the rain but may experience some small showers during the day.
McGivern said:
Outbreaks of rain moving through West Wales into northern England, southern Scotland, and it’s into the afternoon where that rain turns heavy and persistent across Northern Ireland, central and southern Scotland and parts of northern England, central and southern Scotland.
