After the football match that took place in Guadalajara, Mora was live on-air with some fans who were particularly excited by the results of the game. While delivering her report, one fan decided he'd grab the woman's bum multiple times. In other words, he sexually assaulted her.
Times Up
Instead of staying silent and ignoring the persistent groping, she decided to turn around and start beating him with her microphone. The man backs away in shame, while simultaneously pretending that he had done nothing wrong. Unfortunately for him, the video shows it all.
Since the video has gone viral on the internet, the public support for the woman has been overwhelmingly positive. Many have praised her reaction to the assault and the fact that she did not let her assailant get away easily.
No silence in the face of sexual harassment
In a statement published on Twitter, Mora came forward to shine light on the situation. 'What happened to me at dawn on Thursday, happens to thousands of women every day in public spaces', the woman stated. 'The difference is that it happened to me during a live link on television and I decided to defend myself. My reaction is what turned the fact into something viral'.
And it's a great thing she did. When it comes to sexual harassment, a spotlight should always be put on those that commit these crimes to expose them.
