Nicola Sturgeon reveals her new dream
Nicola Sturgeon has recently shared the stage with comedian Janey Godley as part of the Aye Write Book Festival at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow.
Recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer, Godley went viral on social media for her comical voiceovers of Sturgeon’s Covid briefings.
The event was held to discuss Godley’s novel Nothing Left Unsaid, which is set in Shettleston and flashes back to the summer of 1976.
But what came after took the audience by surprise.
The former First Minister revealed it was ‘now’ her dream to write a book.
She admitted:
I’m so jealous that you (Janey Godley) have written a novel. It’s my dream now to write a novel, but I’ll never do it.
Although the former SNP leader jokingly dismissed the novel format, she dropped further hints that a memoir may be underway of her time in office.
Janey Godley said:
You’ll have a lot of material.
Nicola Sturgeon replied:
Most of it is probably actionable!

What does Nicola Sturgeon do these days?
Earlier this year, Nicola Sturgeon explained her decision to stand down after eight years in office by lack of ‘fuel in a tank’ to lead further and her desire to spend more time with her loved ones.
As it turns out, this is exactly what she does these dayswhile also focusing on her constituency as Glasgow South MSP.
The politician also revealed that she rekindled her love for hillwalking and could now make time for this popular Scottish activity.
While talking to Godley during Aye Write Book Festival, she also acknowledged that last few weeks have been difficult as the police investigation into the SNP’s finances intensified.
Her husband Peter Murrell was among the top party executives arrested in relation to the probe.
Nicola Sturgeon said:
I’m no stranger to stress in my life. There have been days in the last few weeks perhaps when I thought I was having a tough time.
