Mars is definitely still a huge mystery. Scientists still don’t know if there is life on the Red Planet or if one day it could become inhabitable. Either way, it is always fascinating to see the reports from NASA. These reports keep us somewhat in the loop of what’s going on.

The ‘noodle-like’ object
If you do like to follow NASA’s missions on Mars, you may remember back on July 12, the Perseverance rover found a mysterious ‘noodle-like’ object on the Red Planet. At first, scientists weren’t sure what it was.
Naturally, when the image was shown, many theories suggested that it was a sign of life on Mars. NASA scientists had simply labelled the mysterious object as ‘space junk’.
A piece of netting
NASA has finally identified the ‘noodle-like’ object and to be fair, it isn’t as exciting as it could have been.
As reported by Mirror, the object the Perseverance rover found is simply a piece of Dacron netting. But what is Dacron?
Dacron is a part of the polyester family. This piece of netting highly likely came from the thermal blanket used in the rover's descent stage.
In a blog post, NASA wrote, as per Mirror:
This particular piece of netting appears to have undergone significant unravelling/shredding, suggesting that it was subjected to strong forces.
