Mushie & Co. issued a recall for about 333,725 FRIGG Silicone Pacifiers on January 19. According to a recall notice issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the United States (CPSC). Mushie & Co is a manufacturer of eco-friendly and designer items for newborns in the United States. There have been no injuries that have been reported till now.

It follows the discovery of a design flaw in two pacifiers, the Silicone Classic and Daisy Pacifiers. They are available in two sizes: 0 to 6 months and 6 to 18 months. The name ‘FRIGG’ is spelt out in raised letters on the pacifier shield's handle. They are available in nearly 40 different hues.
Design Flaw
Reportedly, the pacifiers could enable the nipple to detach from the plastic covering, creating a choking hazard. Mushie & Co received around 200 reports from outside the US of the silicone nipple getting separated from the plastic shield of the baby pacifier. It was after this that the company found a design flaw. There is a fine slit on the pacifier's base. The company confirmed in a statement,
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pacifiers and contact the firm for a full refund or credit.
To obtain a full refund or credit, consumers should cut the silicone nipple from the base of the pacifier and send a photograph of both the detached silicone nipple and the base of the pacifier to Mushie & Co.
Customers have been asked to properly dispose of the pacifier by placing both pieces into the garbage.

The pacifier design flaw where the nipple detaches from the plastic cover has been reported eight times. There have been another 200 identical reports from countries other than the UnitedStates. From April 2021 until December 2021, the pacifiers were sold in one and two packs at many leading stores online and offline.
