Israel could provide Ukraine with Iron Dome
Ukraine first asked Israel for the Iron Dome and other weapons last October (2022), as reported by The Times of Israel. When asked whether Israel would provide the defence system, Netanyahu responded to French TV outlets TF1 and LCI , 'I'm looking into it'.
In a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on 2 February, Netanyahu allegedly said he was willing to send 'military things' to Ukraine. However, simultaneously, he emphasised that he could not go too far without provoking Russia.
In a briefing with journalists, Netanyahu only divulged:
I explained our policies. He knows the issue well.
He also told Macron that 'it is too early to think about mediation'. He explained that he would not attempt further mediation between Russia and Ukraine until Russia, Ukraine and the US requested it.

A warning to Israel
Russian military analyst and Kremlin propagandist, Igor Korotchenko, warned that Israel’s support of Ukraine would come at a cost, referring to Moscow's strong links with Tehran. Indeed, Iran is a close ally of Russia, having provided weapons to Moscow before that have been used in the war against Ukraine.
Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the online military publication National Defense, said on Russia 1's60 Minutes that Netanyahu's comments had 'stirred everyone up'. He then referred to the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani’s upcoming visit to Moscow.
Korotchenko told host, Evgeny Popov:
There will be certain talks, we don't know what about. We can say that we are considering various opportunities for cooperation with Iran, which to say the least will not be greeted with enthusiasm by Israel.
He then made a subtle threat about a potential agreement between Iran and Russia regarding Israel. Korotchenko said:
With due respect, the Israeli side needs to carefully consider the risks and make decisions based on Israel's national security and not run ahead of the American and Ukrainian locomotive.
