Russian politician threatens US with nuclear strike: 'No other way of talking to these fools'

Russian state television is no stranger to threatening the West with nuclear attacks. In the most recent example of this, Andrey Gurulyov, a State Duma member and former military commander, appeared on a panel discussion broadcast on the Kremlin-controlled Russia-1 network. This time, he set his sights on the United States.

Russian politician threatens Americans with a nuke

Gurulyov was joined by Margarita Simonyan, TV host and editor-in-chief of the state-sponsored RT, and the panel discussion was moderated by anchor Vladimir Solovyov. According to a translated video shared on the Russian Media Monitor YouTube channel by journalist Julia Davis, Gurulyov said:

I'm more than certain that until these friends get hit with a nuke on their skull they won't come to their senses.

He added:

There is no other way of talking to these fools

Davis also posted the video on Twitter, writing in the caption:

Meanwhile on Russian TV: State Duma member Andrey Gurulyov, former deputy commander of Russia's southern military district, argues that striking America with nuclear weapons is the only way forward, because Russia brings peace and calm everywhere it goes.

Gurulyov went on to express his desire 'for us to envision the future'. He believes:

We should make plans beyond the horizon so that we know what happens in one year, three years, five years and 10 years and harshly move toward it in this paradigm.

We will win, 100 percent. Where? Everywhere! Everywhere! And this is by far not about Ukraine. Everywhere! Russia was, is, and will be a great nation, capable of bringing peace. Peace is the key word! We bring peace and calm!

He then seems to suggest that the Soviet Union failed to do this during World War II. He said:

But we have to draw the conclusion that we didn't take it far enough in 1945. Today, we have to keep pushing to make sure there is no danger and trouble for our country ever again.

Bizarre claims about Americans and BDSM

Simonyan also made some bizarre claims on the show, declaring that 'Americans know only one type of physical love' and 'it's called BDSM'. She continued:

This is the only way America knows: only sadism, only tying up and gagging, go ahead and suffer through it, so to speak.

Simonyan is a Kremlin loyalist and propagandist, who is said to be close to Russian President Vladimir Putin. She has been hit with sanctions from Canada, the United Kingdomand the European Unionfor disseminating (spreading) Kremlin disinformation regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine.
