In Great Britain, a recent demonstration really got internet users talking on social media. In the heart of various British towns and cities, groups of cyclists were seen riding around on their bikes. Nothing abnormal there. However, every single cyclist present at this event was completely naked. The event has been historically entitled the World Naked Bike Ride.
Their goal is to protest against pollution caused by traffic and promote the ecological advantages of bikes. In Manchester, those who organised this bike ride spoke out about what they want.
‘Even when we are fully clothed, we are naked to the danger of motorists on the road. We want to live in a world not blighted by traffic pollution where the car is seen as the go to form of transport. Most of all, we are here to celebrate people, who come in all shapes and sizes and are beautiful as they are.’
