We all have our own - often pretty strong - opinions on which way the toilet paper is supposed to be hanged. Some people think the loose end of paper should be hanged over the roll, while others argue it should be hanged under the roll. This answer comes from the inventor of toilet paper himself, Seth Wheeler. When he filed the patent for his innovative product (loo roll) on 15th September 1891, his designs clearly show that the paper should be hanged over the roll.
