The popular series The Crown is currently filming its fifth season. However, it has been discovered that some of the show's props were stolen earlier this week.

Stolen Crown jewels
The props that were stolen from the film set near Doncaster during the overnight raid are worth £150,000. According to The Sun, some of the stolen props include a replica Russian Fabergé Egg that was acquired by the Queen's grandfather, George V in 1933. Other stolen items include candelabras, jewellery, a grandfather clock, silverware and a domed birdcage.
Over 200 replica items were stolen from three lorries on the Doncaster set. To help retrieve the stolen items, antique dealers are being urged to keep an eye out for the stolen replicas.

The fifth season
The theft comes in the final week of filming for the upcoming fifth season of the series, which is due to release at the end of the year.
The fifth season will cover the years from 1990 to 1997. The Queen, who was played by Olivia Colman, will now be played by Imelda Staunton and the Queen’s sister Princess Margaret will now be played by Lesley Manville.
Many key events from Princess Diana’s life will be portrayed, such as a dramatisation of her headline-making 1995 Panorama interview with Martin Bashir and many more. Princess Diana was played by Emma Corrin but for season 5 Elizabeth Debicki will portray the late Princess.
Writer Peter Morgan has confirmed there will be a sixth season and that it will be the last of the series.
