According to Aldi’s website, the Ambiano Digital Slow Cooker has a 5.5 litre capacity and features an LCD display with touch button controls. You can set the slow cooker to cook on high, medium or low for any time between 30 minutes and 20 hours. You can also program it to start cooking at the time you want as there’s a delay function of up to 8 hours.
The Ambiano Digital Slow Cooker comes in both Stainless Steel and Gunmetal Grey designs–both of which would make a sleek addition to any kitchen. The Gunmetal Grey has clearly been very popular as it’s already sold out online–although you may be able to find it in store from 7th January. Meanwhile, you can pre-order the Stainless Steel version online now.
What can you make in a slow cooker?
Slow cookers are ideal for cooking seriously tasty meals with minimal effort. You can use a slow cooker to make soups, stews and casseroles as well as favourites like chilli con carne or chicken curry. You can even use a slow cooker to make desserts such as sticky toffee pudding, chocolate cake or apple crumble.
Are slow cookers economical?
Although a slow cooker will take longer to cook your dish than a traditional oven, it will generally consume less energy, meaning it’s usually a cheaper way to cook. Slow cookers can also make cheaper cuts of meat taste really flavourful and tender. Plus, since cooking in a slow cooker requires so little effort, you’ll be less tempted to order expensive takeaways!
