Drink plenty of water
Kassidy drinks around 16 cups of water per day. Keeping hydrated is so important for a healthy lifestyle. Water helps eliminate toxins through urination and it also helps the body to metabolise and burn fat.
Eating a super-simple diet
Kassidy mainly eats chicken, tuna, turkey, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. She's keen to share the difference between a diet and a lifestyle on social media. She wrote on Instagram 'If this were a diet, I would have completely failed. Since this is a lifestyle, I just pick up where I left off and keep going. It's not going to be smooth or easy. You might have a cheat meal or a cheat month. Either way, pick yourself up and keep going.' Base your meals around these key healthy ingredients, but don't beat yourself up about giving yourself a break every now and then.
No calorie counting
Kassidy says that whilst counting the calories and macros of everything she eats might help her lose weight even quicker, she would find it too stressful. Instead, she prefers to listen to her body and stopping when she's full.
Always prepping meals ahead
Kassidy prepares her weekly meal every Sunday. This is such a good tip, especially if you're a mum or work long hours. When you come home hungry in the evening it can be tempting to make yourself something quick and unhealthy. Meal prepping avoids this problem as you'll have tasty and nutritious home-cooked meals ready to pop in the oven or the microwave.
Sticking to a schedule
Kassidy has a 5 days a week exercise plan and she makes sure she always sticks to it, even when she doesn't feel like going to the gym. It can be hard at first especially as results take a bit of time to start showing but you have to keep thinking in the long-term and as Kassidy's results show, it will be so worth it.
Keeping track of progress
Kassidy says her Instagram account has been a huge motivator in her fitness journey. She has taken photos consistently to track her progress, sharing them with her followers. She's also kept a fitness journal. Even if you're not comfortable sharing photos of your body publicly online, it's a good idea to take them for yourself so you can see your own progress.
So there you go! We think Kassidy is a really great role model for living a healthy lifestyle and shows that anything is possible with hard work and the right mindset!
