The Titan offers a visit to the Titanic ruins for the pricey sum of $250,000.
Since the submersible has gone missing, news and reactions around it have been everywhere.
But while people have been cautious about what they say about it as the crisis is still underway, Channel 5 announced that it was releasing a whole brand new documentary.
This program is a live special called The Titanic Sub: Lost at Sea hosted by Dan Walker.
Following their announcement, Channel 5 is now receiving massive backlash as the subversive is set to run out of oxygen just mere hours before their documentary airs.
A crucial day for the fate of the Titan
It has been announced that today (22 June), the subversive will be running out of oxygen.
That means that the people inside, if not found and brought to the surface, will unfortunately die.
As expert Paul Hawkins explains on Great Britain News this situation is very sensitive as the search is still currently ongoing. In an international effort, people are looking for the subversive in an area ‘bigger than Wales.’
While everybody is still trying to ‘hold onto hope’ it is reported that the 5 passengers will be running out of oxygen around midday.
Since the subversive has been missing, ‘banging sounds’ have been heard and that is where the search is focused.
However, Hawkins does specify that while this might be ‘protocol when lost underwater’ to produce sounds every 30 minutes, these noises could also be anything.

Channel 5’s documentary is too soon says Twitter
Since the news broke about the search for the Titan subversive, people have been following news coverage on Twitter.
However, while reporting news and giving updates is one thing people don’t seem to mind, the documentary announces by Channel 5 is not sitting well with a lot of social media users.
On their website, Channel 5 explains that the live special will have ‘experts discuss developments in the hunt for the missing submersible'
Channel 5 has also justified their choice with Ian Rumsey, managing director of content for ITN, saying:
This programme will chart everything from the exploration itself, to the rise of extreme tourism, to the rescue attempts, but above all it will tell a very human story
Rumsey has also stated, in an attempt for reassurance:
Our expertise and heritage in fast-turnaround documentaries and reputation for responsible filmmaking means we always treat such stories with great sensitivity
People on Twitter have been questioning the ethics of Channel 5as they decided to change their broadcast schedule to include this documentary.
Other Twitter users add:
capitalizing on this sh*t the day they run out of air is insane 😭
They're at the bottom of the ocean floor and the UK channel 5 is basically saying hit notifications like and subscribe
While, of course, some tweets decide to make fun of Channel 5 for their timing
