An information campaign has also been launched to tackle excessive tourism. Its objective is to make local businesses in key areas aware of the current regulations of the Law on Excesses in relation to the sale of alcoholic beverages, which includes fines of up to €600,000 for the most serious cases.
Fines for antisocial behaviour
According to the council, the main issues are illegal massages, street vending, street drinking and pub crawls, and noise pollution.
Those engaging in these behaviours could be penalised with fines ranging from €100 for minor offences to €3,000 for serious ones, according to Majorca Daily Bulletin.

Limit on sale of alcohol
It comes as tourists in Majorca, Magaluf, and some areas of Ibiza, will also be limited as to how much alcohol they can drink in an attempt to reduce drunken behaviour.
Holidaymakers will be restricted to only six drinks per day, which can only be consumed with lunch and dinner. Tourists will be limited to three drinks per meal.
Will the security measures work?
The CEO of the airline Jet2, Steve Heapy, has warned at a conference in Majorca last week that attempts to limit tourists will lead to British travellers swapping Spanish locations, such as the Balearic islands, Majorca, Menorca, and Ibiza, for more affordable countries like Greece and Turkey. He said:
Be careful what you wish for. If you give the impression that you don't want tourists, they will end up going elsewhere.
