Lidl is recalling chocolate
As reported by Express, all Lidl GB stores are recalling Fin Carré White Chocolate as there is a ‘potential presence of foreign bodies (plastic), which may present a choking hazard’ as per the customer notice.
As a result, customers have been strongly advised ‘not to eat it’ and to ‘return this produce to the nearest store’. All those who have bought Fin Carré White Chocolate will get a full refund.
As per Express, the batch of Fin Carré White Chocolate that is contaminated is the one that has a best-before date of October 16, 2024. Lidl issued an apology:
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
Morrisons has also issued a product recall
As per Express, Lidl isn’t the only supermarket to recently issue a product recall, indeed Morrisons has issued a warning for those who bought Free From Gluten Choco Crackles due to undeclared allergens.
The FSA explained that Morrisons Free From Gluten Choco Crackles contains the following ingredients:
- Hazelnuts (nuts)
- Milk
- Gluten-free oats.
The reason this product has been recalled is because the ingredients listed above have not been put on the product label. Morrisons issued the following statement:
Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt.
We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.
The affected batch of Free From Gluten Choco Crackles is the one with the best-before date of September 18, 2024.
