Drugs disguised as sweets
West Yorkshire Police reports that they have found drugs in chocolate boxes after stopping a suspicious vehicle on December 17.
Quality Streets, Celebrations and Aero Minis have instead been named Quality Heat, Calibrations and Ammo Minis, it is therefore very important to pay attention to the wrappers before consuming the treats.
A police spokesperson said:
Please be vigilant if you see these, they can contain dangerous amounts of THC and people sometimes do not realise the danger of consuming these items.

A similar incident happened in March this year when police in West Yorkshire, England found £300,000 worth of edible cannabis disguised as chocolate by drug dealers. The criminals used sweets to target children.
On that occasion, treats with similar names to Dairy Milk and Milky Bar were seized during a police raid in Wakefield, England and found to be laced with drugs. They were packaged in colourful packets and expected to be distributed locally.
Officers also confiscated around £2,000 worth of cannabis, crack cocaine valued at £10,000 and over £6,750 worth of heroin.

Christmas is just another occasion for drug dealers
According to Detective Supt Fiona Gaffney, head of Serious and Organised Crime at West Yorkshire Police, thesekinds of incidents have a significant impact on the vulnerable people in the local community.
Sadly, drug dealers exploit Christmas as just another occasion for crime.
A police discovery in Nuneaton, England, where hundreds of plants in a cannabis factory were placed in rows and tied up like Christmas trees, proves it. Luckily, the timely raid resulted in hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of drugs being taken off the streets and removing a significant safety concern for neighbouring properties.
