Victoria's Secret has always been under the spotlight for the wrong reasons. The famous lingerie brand has been using very skinny models for their fashion show. It looks like it's time for a change!

Victoria's Secret has always been criticised for hiring exclusively one body type, which is extremely skinny models. Facing backlash over the years, especially at a time where body-positivity and women empowerment is celebrated, the brand has long been keeping their standards established.

With new brands appearing on the market, celebrating diversity in body types, and with Rihanna's game-changing fashion show Savage X Fenty, in the lingerie industry, honouring all genders, body types and skin tones. Victoria's has felt the pressure and now is hiring a transgender and a plus-sized model.

Victoria's Secret is making a twist, even though the lingerie brand has always praised themselves for being pro-diversity 🤨... Though it was never too evident for the public... Transgender model and actress May Simón Lifschitz and plus-size model Ali Tate Cutler are the faces of the new VS campaign along with Olivia Sang and Laura Rakhman-Kidd.

'It has been wonderful working with Emily and the entire Bluebella team on the campaign,' said Victoria’s Secret spokesperson. 'We are excited to feature these amazing models in bringing this collaboration to life.'

This campaign comes a year after Ed Razek, a former chief marking officer of Victoria's Secret, has claimed that he has no interest in using transgender or plus-sized models.

Victoria’s Secret also hired its first transgender model, Valentina Sampaio, in August, for fashion shows.
