Since the beginning of the war, Vladimir Putin has been in the spotlight for several reasons, from his health to rumours he uses body doubles. The Russian President is being talked about once again as new photos emerged from his latest meeting with the Belarussian President.
Vladimir Putin met with the Belarussian President
As reported by The Sun, Vladimir Putin met with the Belarussian President, Alexander Lukashenko in St Petersburg on Monday, January 29. The meeting was so the two leaders could deepen their alliance.
Putin and Lukashenko have previously discussed their alliance which has led to the deployment of some of Russia's nuclear weapons on its neighbour's territory.
During their meeting, Vladimir Putin talked about the importance of Russia’s relationship with Belarus, especially during hostile times with foreign pressure.
As per The Sun, the Belarussian President has been relying on Russia’s support to rule his country with an ‘iron fist’ for the past 30 years.

However, despite the goal of the meeting, what sparked the media’s interest was the faces the Russian President pulled.
Indeed, Vladimir Putin is known for maintaining an excellent poker face and not letting his emotions or thoughts be seen on his face. During Monday’s meeting, the Russian President was pictured several times grimacing.
In the series of photos taken, Putin was handed a folder and then he pulled several faces, one wide-eyed looking to the side, in another, he looks almost startled, and finally, the most surprising, Putin is captured puffing out his cheeks and looking slightly exasperated.
It is unclear what caused the Russian President to pull these faces and it is highly unusual for him to do so.
