Vladimir Putin is claiming success over his latest offensive against Ukraine, whilst also claiming that Ukraine’s counter-offensive was ineffective. The Russian President is currently going viral over his latest public appearance.

As reported by The Telegraph, Putin was in a meeting at the Kremlin discussing the war and how it’s going. Putin was scrutinised by war reporters and critical military bloggers for his responses to Ukraine’s offensives.
However, during this meeting, the Russian President allegedly let slip some crucial information that Russian officials never share. Moreover, Putin’s demeanour during the meeting suggests he may not be as confident as he lets the media believe.
Vladimir Putin let slip Russian losses
During the meeting at the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin was talking about his country’s last offence against Ukraine. He has claimed that ‘the enemy did not succeed in any of the points of the offensive’ and that Ukraine suffered ‘catastrophic losses in terms of personnel’.
The Russian President went on to claim that Ukraine lost 160 tanks and 360 armoured vehicles. However, surprisingly, Putin also revealed that Russia had lost 54 tanks in the offence.
Usually, Russian officials never reveal their own military losses, as reported by The Telegraph.

Vladimir Putin looked ‘visibly rattled’
According to The Telegraph, Vladimir Putin has been trying to distance himself from the war, however, during the meeting, he was being ‘pressed’ by critical military bloggers and war reporters over Putin’s ‘weak responses’ to Ukraine’s aggression.
The Russian President reportedly looked ‘visibly rattled’ as he answered questions. He told one pro-war blogger that the war was the ‘ultimate response’ to the West endangering Russia’s security.
