The Ukrainian Government denied last month that it was involved in the car bomb that killed, Darya Dugina, the daughter of Aleksandr Dugin, a philosopher based in Moscow.

Dugin has been a main proponent of a new Russia, calling for expansionist ideas into Ukrainian territory and escalating the Russian front there, many experts describe him to be 'Putin’s brain' and is believed to have been the main assassination target, the Telegraph reports.

Ukraine has to date shown many times their surprising ability to strike deep into Russia with covert operations and acts of sabotage, but according to US officials its rare that they share any plan beforehand with their allies, especially about these secret missions.

US authorities apparently have admonishedUkrainian authorities in the wake of the strike, but it was not revealed which branch of the government was addressed.
