A ‘big war by the end of winter’
During a broadcast on Russian state TV, Margarita Simonyan, one of the hosts and editor-in-chief of the state-sponsored RT talks about the war escalating.
In a video that has since gone viral on Twitter, she talks about Vladimir Putin’s demands not being met and that this could lead to a ‘big war’ which will likely take place ‘by the end of winter.’
This can only end with a Caribbean Crisis 2.0
This can only end with an immediate threat
Simonyan also mentions that the Russian President was ready for peace talks in December but nothing came of it:
In December [Putin] voiced the way we see the finer things in life: in order for things not to go very badly right now, our concerns have to be taken into account as well as our vision of security.
During the peace talks on December 25, 2022, Putin insisted that it wasn’t his fault that things weren’t moving forward, as reported by Newsweek.
Simonyan went on to say that she was discussing the topic elsewhere and said:
I kept saying: 'Guys, there will be a big war, for sure! By the end of winter, something very big will happen.'

‘The West will lose WIII’
Later in the program, Andrey Kartapolov, the state Duma Defense Committee Chairman, talked about the Ukraine invasion turning into World War III:
There is no doubt that this is the prelude to WWIII
The West will lose it exactly the way it lost WWII
He then talks about the US specifically, explaining that ‘history repeats itself’ and that the US ‘won’t sit it out anywhere.’
He goes on to say that the West will eventually change sides as they realise who the stronger power is:
They will declare war against their former overlord and join the one who is stronger [...] and Russia is strong!
