The inspiration for Vinny's unusual ambition came when someone attempted to insult them by saying they looked 'like a Martian'. Vinny decided to turn this negativity into a positive and embrace the alien vibe.
The surgery
So far, Vinny has had many different procedures to achieve their alien look. These include five nose jobs, botox, facial peels, face and body laser treatments, cheek, brow and lip fillers and cryo facial freezing.
Next, Vinny wants to have their nipples, belly button and genitals totally removed in order to become a 'blank canvas' or 'sexless alien'.
This won't be easy, however, as genital removal has never been done before. Whilst gender reassignment surgery - which reconstructs male genitals into female ones or vice versa - is possible, removing the genitals altogether poses potentially complex issues. One renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Simoni warns 'The experimental nature of the procedure means it is highly risky and it could also impact on basic bodily functions such as Vinny’s ability to urinate.'
If Vinny does find a doctor to go ahead with the ground-breaking surgery, there will be no going back as the procedure is irreversible.
Lifestyle
Vinny says they would not be bothered by not having any sexual organs because they are already celibate anyway. Vinny still plans on having kids someday too.
Vinny says: 'When I was younger I identified as a gay man and I had already planned to adopt three kids. My mindset hasn’t really changed. Just because I remove my genitals I will still be adopting children.'
Vinny's family are supportive, although they admit they think Vinny's alien plans are crazy! Vinny actually has a twin sister - Danielle - but the siblings couldn't be more different. Vinny describes her as 'a tan, short surfer'. Nonetheless, Danielle is supportive of Vinny's transformation, though her biggest concern is Vinny's safety.
