According to a study carried out by the Bird Office, a site that rents out meeting rooms, 70% of employees take longer lunch breaks during August and nearly half were able to leave early at least one night a week.
Laid back outfits and bosses
But this isn’t the only advantage! Work activity is (generally) lower during the 8th month of the year, as workers have more time to do what they can’t do during the rest of the year, such as storage and sorting. It’s also the perfect time for closing the files which have been dragging on for weeks.
Another big advantage: work attire can be more relaxed. Bosses even tend to be a bit ‘cooler’, according to 39% of respondents.
August is also the perfect time to see colleagues outside the office!
So, now are you happy to work whilst everyone’s enjoying their holidays?
