The Wagner chief was all over August’s headlines when his plane went down exactly two months after his attempted military coup. Many suspected this was a direct message from Vladimir Putin, demonstrating that traitors of the Russian state will never be forgiven.

At the time, Russian analyst Dr Valery Solovey claimed that Prigozhin was alive, having never been onboard the plane, and promised to reveal where the warlord was hiding out in the following month. Well, we are in September now and he’s made good on his promise. Solovey claims the billionaire is on the Caribbean island of Margarita, Venezuela, lying low as he waits for Putin’s death.
How Prigozhin escaped death
At the time of the crash, Russian authorities reported that a DNA analysis proved Prigozhin was dead. However, Ukrainian military intelligence recognised the possibility that Prigozhin had cheated death just this week, reports The Daily Mail. The intelligence agency confirmed the death of other Wagner figures in the plane crash, including the commander Dmitry Utkin, but did not confirm that of their leader himself.
A spokesman explained:
We must operate with confirmed facts, we still need to wait. I will simply focus on the fact that we can confirm the death of Utkin and several other associates of Prigozhin.
Solovey - who also claims that Putin has been using ‘two doppelgängers’ controlled by the Russian secret services to hide his terminal illness - says that Prigozhin was ‘warned’ about the plan to assassinate him. He states that Wagner’s key military commanders really did die, while their chief escaped and is now in South America.
Solovey has not disclosed where he has sourced this information, nor whether he has proof of it.

Prigozhin to return once Putin dies
Solovey believes that a ‘deal’ was struck with Russian officials: Prigozhin is to stay ‘dead’ until Putin himself passes away… and then Prigozhin will be able to come back to Russia to return his Wagner ‘death squad’:
Up to 5,000 mercenaries might be under Prigozhin's control.
Solovey claims that for now, Prigozhin is ‘enjoying life at a very good resort’.
