Those of state pension age could be eligible for £101 a week through Attendance Allowance if they suffer from certain eyesight conditions.
What is Attendance Allowance?
As per Express, Attendance Allowance is a program that helps with extra costs for those who suffer from a mental or physical disability but also for those who suffer from an illness severe enough that looking after yourself becomes difficult.
If you have a disability or an illness and need help or supervision during the day, you could apply for Attendance Allowance even if you aren’t currently receiving help.
You could get:
- Help with personal care - for example getting dressed, eating or drinking, getting in and out of bed, bathing or showering and going to the toilet
- Help to stay safe.
