Sandra FM is a French public health doctor and health psychologist, she is known as "Mrs. Compulsory Eating." Her mission is to help as many people as she can enjoy life, no matter the circumstances! After working around the world as a scientist, she dropped everything to start the "Free to Eat" movement because she was tired of seeing so many people struggle with food and their bodies. As she always says:
If you stay focused on your diet or your discomfort, you'll be missing out on the best parts of your life.
It is possible to make peace with your body by following a few very simple tips. Here's Sandra's advice to you:
1. Focus on what you can do with your body, not what's wrong with it.
2. Imagine what you would say to your best friend if they had the same insecurities as you. You'd be tolerant and caring.
3. Get back in "touch" with your body through massages. Learning to love your body also requires a tactile approach!
Do you think that, on your last day on Earth, you'll be proud to be able to say: I spent 80 years of my life hating my body? Or maybe you'd rather say this to yourself: "Wow, so, for 30 years, I wanted a different body and, one day, I woke up and took charge of my body image. And wow, I'm so proud that I succeeded in overcoming others' opinions, and all the beliefs I had about my body. I regained control over it and could finally breathe, and live my life to the fullest.
If you do these exercises daily, you should feel a lot better about yourself. After all, it's yours for the rest of your life, so you shouldlove it and take care of it! Right?
